Hi Tony.
I think the Cameronians were a different unit entirely from the QOCH. THey wore the Douglas tartan and had the claim to fame of being the first Rifle Regiment of any of the Highland Regiments in the British Army. Some of the QOCH Regiment fought with Australian units in and around Borneo I think, but I do not know if they ever got back to Europe before the war ended. David |
