Having recently returned from a battlefield tour in Belgium (WW I) and France (WW 2), and fully realizing the utter futility and waste of human life, I must admit to tearing up when I watched this video.
George Santayana had it right when he said..."He who fails to learn from history is condemned to repeat it". I'm no pacifist but, dammit, as the pop song goes..."when will we ever learn?" Yes Bill, this being an apolitical forum, I'll end now.
