To me red flags appear when western union is requested. If hes a dealer, he should be able to do Credit Card.

If you go to google earth, you can actually "drive" down the road where the address he gives is. The trailer park does not seem to have any military vehicles in it's vicinity.

I have a subscription to a good public records search website. There are 43 people named Timothy L Brown in Tennessee, but no record of one in Loretto.

Of course, these search websites have been wrong before...

If he referred to your requested part as an "item", or said " I have what you need in good condition", then it's a scam. Ask me how I know.
