John,

Your hunch was nearly correct: as it says Ford on the side and therefore has a locking tab for the more valuable tools & spares.
As you have a Chev you need to exchange it with my toolbox so the proper toolbox is in the proper truck.

Nice catch John! Indeed a nice CMP toolbox. Maurice was able to help me with half a toolbox and I now have Hanno's box here to copy the lid and handle.
I did make a lid a few weeks ago, but sadly I made it slightly too small....it works, but I am sure that after some paint and after fitting the hinges and lock with rivets, it won't.

Ha Ha Hanno,
I thought because it was for a Ford, it had seen so much repeated use that the catch had broken and a replacement locking hasp had been fitted........
