Richard, be advised that there is a procedure the Wireless guys use when powering up a 19 set after having sat unpowered for a couple of years.
Has to do with reforming the capacitors in the power supply. If you just hook up 12V and throw the switch, you are like as not, to hear a loud pop. |

Yeah I know buddy, you cannot just whack on the 12v the set has to be powered up gradually, the capacitors have a tendency to go BANG !! I have a pal from the Bluebird project is a ham radio enthusiast amongst his many talents (guru with wires) he has offered to power the thing up for me etc and conduct the required checks etc etc.
New to get the unit back to the UK first of all though

Peter, sent you a few emails regarding the components part numbers, when you get a chance can you look on the leads for me and give me the part numbers, so I know what I need to be looking for to complete the setup.
