As wise guys from the forum sad, I have also one potential issue regarding my nice and big aluminium oil pan. I have made some measurements and it really wont fit without some trimming.
1. the gearlever bar collide with the corner of oil pan, but these are only milimetres, Im sure that bar could be modifed to fit.
2. the current drain plug and bulge above it makes the height of oil pan too big - again its cca 5mm, so could be fixed by grinding whole bulge off and welding flat blanking piece of aluminium on it.
3. the drain plug must be repositioned to fit the hole in the floor.

So I think its still negotiable but with a great effort Im affraid. So if anyone from the honorable forum members has spare good steel oil pan for carrier for sale, I would be very grateful. Please let me know

Yes Richard, they were sealed wit Loctite. I also put a thin layer of copper sealant on the head gasket. Should be OK.
