Our Parents Who Served

I have mentioned before in other posts about my father who served in the RCAF during the war on the wrong side of the ocean. Karman, he was also a smoker and died from cancer two days before my eleventh birthday.

Hi John, I'm sorry you didn't get to hear much from your Dad about his service experiences and thoughts So many reasons for silence hey?

I'm even sorrier to hear that you lost him at such a tender age, and a crucial one for a boy 11..... adolescence when a son most needs a fathers love and guidance.
