Problem with just measurements is that the two mufflers are indexed differently wrt their inlet and outlet positions. As well, you want to make sure the muffler you buy fits nicely in the clamps. I send a set of the clamps down along with my sample muffler.

If you do end up with two mufflers indexed the same, it is not the end of the world. Worry more about the outlets. The inlets can be adjusted by lengthening or shortening the long shaft.

I'll be doing another exhaust system in the next month or so. If you are stil looking at that point I'll get either part numbers for the mufflers or find what vehicle they are applicable to. I do recall that back in the 90s, it was K-car mufflers I was using, but I suspect those will no longer be in production. I doubt there are many (if any) of those cars left.
