What role did the Daimler Dingo or Lynx play? (was: New Guy Here)

Its probably the wrong place - an armoured vehicle isn' t a softskin (exactly as it sounds - softskins are the unarmoured vehicles like trucks). One of the mods will probably move it.

From what I've read they could be used for command via radio, instructing the tanks on where to go from a better viewpoint. If you want an example of their use in combat, take a look at the After the Battle photo book on the Dieppe landings. Sadly this didnt go well, but it provides a blow-by-blow account of early Churchills and Dingos in combat together.
