Thanks Lynn, thanks Rob.

Michael, my fold out service chart is missing from my copy of the UC-F1.

...would you please..eh.. very please post it here or send it by email ..please again.

Gents, i am a little daft , sorry new to Carriers. I bought a Grease Gun from Canadian tire and the end works on some of the grease fittings but not all. So i need a button grease attachment says Rob . Q. What size do i need to buy so that it fits my grease gun and the nipples on the Carrier ?

Thank you for your patience.

Robert

I am assuming you have some (or all) of the original button head style grease fittings. There were two sizes: regular and large. The carrier uses regular which I see also are referred to as 5/8".

When you say your Canadian Tire grease gun works on some of the fittings, then that means someone has changed some (or all?) of your fittings over to the nipple style. In that case the Cdn tire end will work on any of them, although angles of access may require you to get some flexible coupling.

In the photo below is one with a dozen various grease nipples and one button head fitting. In the other photo is a button head fitting.

Default Grease adapter

I have NOS original grease fitting adapters tha allow you to use your regular grease gun to grease the Carrier button head fittings. I don't have the original Carrier part number handy: will try to post the number tomorrow. Any one interested can PM me. ....... Brian

Was going to say you can get the original adaptor from Brian.

The part number is C01UC 105719 Nozzle grease gun fitting.

I have edited post #2 to cover all those discussed so far

Can someone please advise if the later brake pedals have a grease nipple fixed to the tube

HI, I think I made a mistake and didnt make myself clear. It is my intantion to change the ols nipples into the modern one, and I need to know the size of the thread on the body side, not on the greaser side. I think there are at list two sizes. thanks arie

Arie, see the first line of my first post.

If you are rebuilding a carrier, some BSF taps and die nuts are useful as well
The fasteners are BSF. (but not most of the ones in the Ford made assemblies)(Engine, g/box,diff.etc)
