Default Cosmopolitan circuit breaker

Guys,

This seems quite typical of this project, I rebuilt the circuit breaker using NOS components from LWD, reproduced components from Mac's Auto and some original parts that I was able to clean up and repair. Mounted it on a segment of conveyor belt and you'd be hard pressed to tell it from the original. Lets hope that it works, when it's ultimately put to the test. Also tried my hand at making a new circuit with some original wiring. Ultimately I'll have someone weave new looms.

Peter

Default Thanks

Dave,

Thanks. This restoration is quite a journey. Every step is a reward, but the most rewarding is the people that I meet along the way.

Default Fuel tank sponson

Guys,

Typical of this restoration it's a mixture of new and old. The ends, bottom and back are original while the front and top is new. Nice to move on from the cardboard template.

Default What are the odds ??

Guys,

I was poking around the internet the other day and plugged in "C19SR" to see what was out there. Lo and behold up popped the elusive circuit breaker and resistor circuit that I had given up on, and finally cobbled one together. Obsolete Automotive of Vinton, West Virginia has a stock of these NOS components should anyone else be looking for one.

Just got mine today, I continue to be impressed how these parts were packaged. Seventy plus years and it looks brand new. Needless to say it will be going on the Lynx.
