Hmm, I can see why the historians make a note of this. But from an artistic point of view I do like it that all the salutes are lined up with each other. If it was 100% historically correct, the woman serving in the Navy would be saluting different from the others. And would a nurse and a factory worker bring a military salute? I don't think so....
Anyway, here's hoping the exhibition helps to make clear the contributions made by women to the Canadian war efforts were crucial.
