I bought one of the genius chargers which has the 24 volt capacity. They are a smart pulse type charger which will also maintain a battery. Canadian tire carries them, but they are abotu double what you paid Robin.
The military has 24v solar chargers available for their vehicles. Perfect for vehicles that spend 90% of their life sitting in a compound. I have seen them available surplus on steel soldiers and ebay for reasonable prices. |

These chargers are also sold by Princess Auto. I probably have the maker's info on the original box or instructions. Mine has a vinyl storage bag that ripped first winter.

In the local rural fire service we have two 24v canters and they are connected to regulated solar chargers. As an added safety measure for the wiring the plug for the charger is under the isolator switch making it impossible to start the vehicle without first disconnecting the charger.
