Default ...and the answer is....????

Right in the text of the manual......

The trailer can ONLY be plugged in when towed by a 5CWT vehicle..... does it mean JEEP?? if it does, I would not expect a Jeep to pull more than one trailer at a time.....

The para "Note".....Seems to indicate that the CMP did not have suitable trailer receptacle.

However, what you say makes sense and it would not be the first time a manual was wrong in the wiring instructions.
