Some part of my former life can only agree with you. I am a broken down worn out Parks and Gardens Landscaper. One who never intended going to university as I was a "Tradie" - Tradesperson. I can honestly say that ignorance can be sheer bliss. I had to retrain and due to an eye complaint I was instructed that I could no longer work in dust and dirt - none of that with motor vehicle restoration is there - teehee. Well not 8 hours a day five days a week anyway. So I took a course at university. Then perhaps another one or two or ... As a consequence I now frequently have part of my mind sitting there pointing its finger, laughing at me going, "you are such an academic (the utterance of an inaudible - comment or two) .... Lionel." The tone of voice is not complementary either. Then it says, "what did you used to say about academics?" ... I am too polite to write what I used to think about them here either. To make matters worse - I have two elder brothers, who are both tradies and they both point their fingers at me, they laugh and then say, "Lionel you are such a * % ## oh and an Academic!" Maybe it is their voices in my mind ..... noooooo! So see what happens when you disparage a group of people through ignorance - fate turns around and bites you on your arse! oh and Tradies rool Who wrote that ? .... Kind Regards Lionel
