Excellent write up on the No. 1 set

I would like to know more about AWA manufacturing the No. 1 set . It is plain to see that the AWA WS 101 was based on the No. 1 set . I recall reading that a Major in the signals corps here named Kendal or similar was responsible for writing the specifications for two new wireless field sets in the late 30's . He must have seen the No.1 set as the prototype for the 101 but the 109 set was not based on anything as far as I can tell . STC in Sydney became the manufacturer of the WS 109 . I might do a write up on the 109 set !
