Hi, I'm planing a trip across America in March/April and wondered if it was feasible to take advantage of the more flexible gun laws to have a go at a bit of live firing, I have 3 days in Flagstaff where I may be able to get a chance any one got any suggestions, I have contacted a Gun range near Flagstaff by e-mail but as yet no reply. I posted the same question on HMVF and got some very helpful responses but I thought there may be more "locals" on here?

Scottsdale AZ, suburb of Phoenix. Not used them, but the variety of available arms is pretty impressive! Mike ![]() PS do you have a planned route? What sort of things (besides weapons) interest you? Aircraft museums? Firearms Museums? If you have a planned route, members may be able to suggest places along the way. Dayton OH for example, has the USAF Museum: a must-see for the aircraft enthusiast. |

Thanks for the suggestions, very helpful
As you've asked the route we shall be taking is; Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans(3 day stop) Nachitoches, Sherman, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Flagstaff (3 day stop), Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, Monterey, San Francisco (5 days). Then fly to Toronto, spend a day at Niagara Falls, train to Drummondville via Montreal to stay with some friends for a few days before heading home again via Atlanta. Thankfully there are 4 of us to share the driving ![]() PT |

HI Paul,
Being an aussie, i` not sure how close you might get on or en route, but if you can, if your able to get to Denver, CO try ad swing by for MV stuff/interesting surpluss stuff. We stopped at these (well looked in the window of one and wwalked in/hunted in another) and were very impressed! 1. Surplus Tools (not sure where they are in Denver, but it should be googleable or check a phone directory). 2. Sviegel (spelling?) auto parts (on the outskirts of Denver next to a highway)- a very OLD wrecking yard with LOTS of cool stuff in side, mostly civvy but definitely MV stuff hidden on the shelves. Theres also some really good co-op style antique stores. I remember one quite well; as we stopped to look, I went to the bank out the front and the rather attractive young teller gave me $200USD more than I asked for with out debiting my account and I quickly gave it back (I think the aussie accent threw her and she was happy for a chat!)! She was very happy wen I handed a wad of notes back and pointed out the error! Didnt find anything in the antique store to spend the withdrawn money on, but i`ll never forget it! Cheers, Ian.
