Just a note, I have actually seen Marc's carrier in action and drooled all over it!
![]() It can shift and drives like a dream, and as for the handling, set up spot on! ![]() ![]()

I ran a Stomberg 97 on my last carrier...... I run the hot rod variant Ben speaks of.
was a pain in the bum slowing down for Marc to catch up ![]() Charlie is talking about the Holley 94..... what most folk are using to be fair. my current carrier has one fitted, and I have no intention faffing about changing it. will make a bell crank for the choke ..... for what they are worth

A "94" is the standard Holley 94 found on many ford V8s in the civvy guise.
The other regular use carb early on was the 97 Stromberg.

One thing though with these NOS carbs. The diaphragms are not up to the modern day fuels. They dissolve and start to leak so I bought a new kit from Carburettor Hospital and fixed those issues. Otherwise I have no idea if it would be a direct replacement fit wise. It was in my carrier when I bought it and only had to fix the above mentioned issues.
Cheers,
