I am new to the forum, but have been a long-time reader.
I noticed on the jeep listed for sale above that a hot water heater kit is fitted to the firewall. My 1953 M38A1 Cdn came with an identical kit. I have never found any reference to it in military documents or literature. Were these, possibly, CJ kits that might have been fitted by civilian owners after the jeeps were released, or was there perhaps some limited issue of them while the jeeps were still in service?
