OMVA Annual General Meeting will be on Saturday May 27th at Aquino Weekend in Oshawa. See the MLU post

This is notice of intent to amend the constitution at the annual general
meeting. The following proposed amendment will be presented:

Article 6) ELECTIONS

Amend paragraph 4 to read:

"The nomination and election process will be conducted by the
Secretary/Membership Coordinator in odd numbered years and by the Vice
President in even numbered years using the website and email.

The call for nominations will be issued by November 1 prior to the election term.
Nominations will close on November 15.

A nominee may be nominated by any other member in good standing who will first
obtain the nominee's agreement to serve.

Following close of nominations and where there are 2 or more nominees standing
for any office, ballots showing the offices and candidates' names will be issued by
November 25. The deadline for returning completed ballots is December 10.
Voting will be conducted by email except for those members who have not
provided an email address.

Two appointed scrutineers other than elected members of the Executive will do
the tabulations of votes.

Election results will be posted on the website by December 20."
