Interesting...
VAOS section WY is electrical test equipment, and most of the components have Army stores codes on them. Except for the valves, which are Air Ministry. The VR65 is perfectly ordinary, but the VR137 is an EC52 VHF triode (good for up to 300 or 400 MHz). It's Army from the general design and stores codes, intended for use in the field, not a workshop. Possibly radar related? Chris.
