If my memory is correct, the steel floor in the rear of Rob Clarke's 1945 HUP/staff car is also plain steel.

My HUP is an early 43 with two side doors. The rear floor has been welded where it has cracked in the past and two flat strips have been put in across the width of the body by the rear door and also just behind the side doors. The style of the diamonds matches the plates in the cab, so I think it is original.

The staff cars used the same stuff as the regular HUPs but they just flipped it over and welded it in.
