Default Artillery War Establishment

The Canadian War Establishment for a Field Artillery Regiment of towed 25-pdr guns, II/172/2 dated July 1943, indicates that a regiment had 21 HUWs. The next re-write, which included the Establishment being renumbered, showed that they were no longer being used. The new Establishment, II/190B/1 dated March 1944, now had 12 Truck 15-cwt FFW, an extra seven jeeps for 16 in total, nine Trucks 15-cwt Armoured, and two more Truck HUCs. Overall the number of B Vehicles decreased from 123 to 114, mostly through the reduction of motorcycles from 44 to 26.

Cheers,
Dan.
