Hi Guys
Having only dwelt with Chevy CMPs I have never come across anything that the wheel rims were different. Looked through the Ford and Chevy parts books trying to see if they share a part number. I know that the 16 rims used on 1941 Pattern 12 C60L will not fit on the 1942 Pattern 13 C60S fitted with 10.50x20 rims because the brake drums are larger on later C60. Was this common to Fords as well? So to advance the general parts knowledge base, what have people found? Cheers Phil

Thanks for your posts! I guess I should tell every one what I am trying to do. I have a 1943 Ford modified conventional truck. It was used by the RCAC and has 10,000. Original miles. It's currently a cab and chassis. I want to remove the civilian wheels and tires, and replace them with military 10:50-16s. I've seen my style truck with these wheels and tires on them. ( and the GS box! ) this is how I want to finish mine. I am not sure what's involved to mount these. Will need to make adapters, change the hubs, or is it the same bolt pattern? Any help or advice in this quest would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Andy,
It would help if we knew what size of civilian truck you are working on. Pictures of the current wheel set up would help as well. Jack |

Success!! Managed to figure out how to post pics! Woo Hoo! Here's the beast. I owned this great old truck about 12 years ago. I recently found it for sale, and just bought it back!
