Default Red white and.....Red

Stephen I have a MkI* (Canadian) carrier in desert colour sand and terracota, the allied vehicle recognition rectangle/square started life in the desert campaigns I believe as a white square (I have this on mine). This then changed briefly to white red white, before the red white red later on. So I think going for the latter would be ok for the Italy campaign. Many of the carriers, especially MkI (British) or MkI*s were 'borrowed' from the 8th Army.

Also I have spoken with a few desert veterans and the one thing they all mentioned was they moved the square from the middle of the sides to the rear of the side armour. The centre was too much of an aiming mark for the baddies!

Look forward to seeing some of your photos once complete.

Nigel
