Look at the leaf camouflage thread in the softskin forum and follow Steve Guthries link. His site has some fairly comprehensive articles on camo in the various years. Your carrier could use either the MTP20 with the bold markings or MTP46 schemes although most carrier pix seem to use the MTP20. In the States if you used the two tone brown desert scheme with Canadian or British markings there'd be no question whether it's US or not. It was 1944 before they used the olive drab with the star on the door so you're safe there. A lot of the Canadian and Brit units painted the star upside down to piss off anybody who cared.
