The Staghound ran a pair of Chevrolet 6’s in the back. Were there any specific ‘left’ and ‘right’ requirements for that installation?

I don't have access to my manuals for the C15TA, Fox and Otter right now but will check later. My impression is that the angled pads were a later version and the style used on the CMP (vertical face on the clutch housing with right angle brackets to attach the engine mounts to a horizontal face on the frame) were an earlier version. Again an (unconfirmed) understanding - that the angled rubberized mounts were developed first to address NVH in lighter duty vehicles.

C15TA, Otter and Fox are all listed as using 2136589 as the clutch housing, the same as the C60X.

Hi all; My G-506 WW2 trucks use the right angle mounts on the bell housings , the angled mounts are later 'Civvy' type. CMP is also the right angle type I recall. Looking closer the E-pay one appears to have the hydraulic cyl mounts on the right side. I just sold a complete assembly to the East USA.. all from a early 60's Chev PU; for less than $100 USD incld shipping. Newc in Oregon

A quick google search of the part number turned up a few threads from other forums. They both suggest it’s for a 4 speed with a hydraulic clutch.

I wonder if there was a version made for right side hydraulic clutch applications with the vertical mounting face similar to CMP - it might be a source to replace damaged CMP bellhousings rather than going to the trouble of cutting a new hole in a left side opening housing.....
