Great job Wayne,
Very special, Australian designed type saved as well. Where did you source the camo pattern? (This is not a loaded question) Just interested... that's all

Thanks for the kind words guys
![]() The disruptive colour was matched from a sample off the doors. I don't know the name but it is a perfect match from the factory. First seeing it in the paint can was a eyebrow raising moment but now on the truck with the green I think it looks just fine. I did cheat Mike and sprayed it on, masked it then sprayed, very even coat, maybe too even... The pattern comes from chalk marks I did from my original vehicle, Rod D's roof section and old photos. My lines matched up very close to one original photo I had so I filled in the missing lines on the rear roof section from the available Ford photos. Hi Hanno, very rare vehicle to have survived, there are a couple of others around in bits or part there of Never know what some people have hidden away in sheds. Wayne |

The seats were finished this week and have been fitted.
Dark brown leather with brass eyelets, upholster did very well from the few available photos. Now need to get the leather strap supports made. Odd thing is now the truck has that "new car smell". Black and white is the Ford, colour is my Chev with pleated seats. |

Found these parts of the radiator blind for the Chev, looking for a photo/sample of what the finished item looked like or worked.
Cheers, Wayne |

Really outstanding job, Wayne.
![]() Missed the seat image from last year until now: I assume the seats lay back to make a flat 'bed' like the original. Have you made the strap supports as yet? The radiator blind is an interesting improvement on the clip-on version. A really useful truck. Mike |

Driving around to test before licencing, very slow but steers and brakes well.
Still a lot to do to finish the restoration, canvas, gun mounts, overflow tank and more. |

Looking really good, Wayne. I guess from your comment, Wayne, it won't do me much good looking for you at Corowa this year. More than 150 vehicles here already. Cheers Rick.

Ha!
Wayne would have to have left nearly 3 weeks ago to be there!!! (3500 kms @ average 24 kph for 8 hours/day driving = 18 days, not including stops for eating, refueling, ringing ears, heat exhaustion, etc etc) But what an EPIC trip. Maybe next year, Wayne?? Sounds like an good turn up, Rick. Wish I was there. Mike |

A very good show and lots of good people, been there several times but to drive the truck there is too much. Train is the way to go, that's how it probably got here in the first place.

Hello Wayne,
How is the Chevrolet six seater going? Has it been out for any road trips lately or attended any events? Has there been any issues with the timber now that it is a couple of years old and been on the road a couple of times to flex it out? Kind regards Lionel

All good so far Lionel, was expecting a bit more body roll but there is hardly any. No problems with the timber moving or warping. Lack of engine power turned out to be the float level in the carby. Still working on it, canvas work, gun mounts and yet to make the two rear crew seats.
I used a commercial wood called "Tasmanian Oak" which was great to work with but needed to be sealed, primed and painted asap. |
