Default Studebaker US6

So... I have purchased a 1945 Studebaker US6 with only 1100 miles on the clock (thats not a misprint). There is a bit of rust behind the cab and my question is "Will Studebaker repair the rust under warranty?"

Sure, just drop it into your nearest Studebaker dealership.

Mine has just run in at 11 Thousand miles.
I meet a Studebaker owner at Corowa eariler this year who just clocked up 7 Thousand miles on his.
Usually its low army useage, sold off straight into the local rural fire service and then used or stored on a farm after that as diesels were wanted for fire fighting and not petrols.

Sounds like a nice find, Stuart.

Does it still have its original body?

Original tray went missing decades ago. Currently has a hay tay on. Chap that sold it to me threw on an old tray from possibly an Acco.

Nice find.

What chassis number is it, or have you already looked up its ARN & body type in AWM126? Might give you a clue as to why it did so few miles.

Mike
