Default The Ford brakes on Chev is important

Hi Darren

Grant's point of that Chevy CMPs having Ford brakes is a important one, as it has driven more than one Chevy CMP owner crazy trying to find brakes parts.

On the C60L, C60S that I have they are indeed Ford brake parts both front and rear. On some other Chevy CMPs such as HUPs the fronts are Ford brakes while the rears are
Chevy.

Most of the brake hardware is standard hardware of the late 1930s and 1940s.

There have been numerous threads on MLU about overhauling brakes so some searching will yield a wealth of information. As will the manuals, do you have the manual for the truck what you want is the MB-C2.

Welcome aboard to the fun of CMPs

Cheers Phil
