Martson matting, pierced plank, PSP, etc etc. Proper WWII era pattern and material.
Wonderful stuff IMHO.

I gather it would be a waist of time for bonus points as what way it was facing? Your image spells that out.

Occasioned during a living history circa 1944 event which turned into circa 1917 Passchendaele, what with off road vehicle traffic on moist ground. Not that I am complaining, just an observation. I know others would be pleased to have some wet weather. By nightfall it changed to snow.
