I think the one in the first picture might be Simons truck in a previous life (?).....here it is at Wings and Wheels in Belgium in 2015. It has to be the D15 that was restored by the late Johan van Rijn.
second pic shows a D15 in Normandy in 2009.....I though it was owned by an Italian member.....but looking at the licence plate it might be British (?).
Last picture shows a Dutch D15 in 2016

Great pics Alex!
Looking atYOUR decapitated bowser with the intentionally installed single windshield like in LRDG vehicles and atHANNOS decapitated GS body there apparently were even more then one customized desert versions!!! I will try and find a 1:35 model illustration of such a desertized D15 I once dug out somewhere. 10+ Years I have been thinking that this was pure fiction. Very exciting!!!

Btw: thank you!! Hanno for your great pics. (And your lively participating in this thread-your infos were already instrumental together with Mike Starmer for my paintwork yrs ago;-)))
