Longlac is where I usually call it a night. I kind of thought that if you made Dryden the first night, Thunder Bay would not be a long enough drive.
However you are now in for a bit of a boring roadway for the next bunch of hours. That stretch is not particularly scenic. You will find a few military pieces (C1 howitzer, a M113A2, and an M109A4+) when you pass through Heard.

We took the open top bus tour of Ottawa today and then walked around looking at shops, typical tourists.

Default Bloody Aussie tourists!

I was happy to host you and Vicki (modestly as it was). We proved that rusty old trucks speak a common language and no matter where you're from, there is always something interesting to learn about the hobby.

You mentioned a two-speed transfer case for your Blitz. As you saw, I don't have one, but the idea of getting some reasonable speed from 1940s best technology seems smart. What do you know about that add-on?

Terry your use for political adds is the best bit of recycling I have seen.
My blitz came standard with a single speed transfer box that gave the option of two or four wheel drive. The two speed transfer is out of the larger blitzes and offers a low range for rough going and a pto for a winch. The winch option is why my blitz has the two speed transfer. My father in law had a jib on it for singing logs out of the bush to be cut up for fire wood.

We visited the barn yesterday hosted by Bob and Rob then out to dinner with Joyce and Bob. That concludes the MLU part of the holiday, a few more days as tourists then back home to reality. Thank you Canada for your hospitality. Rob & Vicki.
