We made it to Niagara and walked around. Tomorrow morning we do the boat trip then Monday it is up to Toronto and off home. We will almost have 10,000 k's on the car when we hand it in. Looking at the weather chanel we are getting out just in time.
Howard what makes you think I'll remember, Corowa is next year and I am old.

You got out of Calgary a day or two before their freak early snowstorm.

You got out of Manitoba with plenty of time to spare. We were at 21°C on Tuesday, and the snowstorm hit on Friday, giving us 3 foot drifts, over a foot of wet heavy snow, and knocking out power to over 50,000 customers. The Trans Canada highway was closed for a day and a half, and many of the back highways are just opening now. Our premier called for a state of emergency yesterday in order to deal with all the power outages.

It would seem like the Pearce family rides the good weather through, leaving the bad weather in their wake.

Seriously though, I hope you got a good impression of Canada. You were talking about a foray into Quebec. Did you make it into there?

Yes Rob Canada has been a fun adventure. Meeting members of MLU helped keep it interesting. Yes we made it to Quebec City and went on the open top bus tour.
Today's tour around Niagara and Maid of the Midst boat ride rounded off our trip. The tour started at 09:00 and finished at 14:30.

Sounds like you've both had a great trip, I've been following posts on Fb as well. Time to change the name of the thread to "Canada, there we were"?

Just a few pictures of our Canadian trip. We took 20,000 between us.
We started with a eight day bus tour, then two days on the rocky mountaineer, then seven days on a ship to Alaska and back.
The rest of the tour group flew home and we hired a car for twenty three days to drive across Canada. We probably missed more than we saw but it was a great experience. We met forum members who showed us around there areas, also casual meetings along the road led to some great conversations that led us to attractions we would otherwise have passed not knowing they existed.

And just like that, the fall is upon us. You visited at a good time of year.

By now most of the HMV owner/operators/builders in Canada have stopped working outdoors on their collections and are making ready for the winter. The only exceptions are a few of us have obligations to our local Royal Canadian Legion branches or communities to parade on or before 11 Nov.

My 1970 M38A1 came back from its troubleshooting and fault fixing a week or so after you two left, and immediately almost everything inside the shelter came out to make room for the '70 and the '74. Except for the 17' canoe in the backyard, you wouldn't know much else was happening. It was a bit of fun reversing one Jeep tandeming the second one lashed to a loose tire with 5-ton cargo straps. Four wheel drive low range and reverse on idle! That is torque.

The leaves are well along in their burst of reds, oranges, yellows and browns.
Although the grass is still green, that will end as soon as we have a few hard frosts. Snow is forecast for the weekend, but that is just the first of the season to scare us into finishing any remaining winterization projects.
