In a promotional video of The Weald Foundation - see https://www.wealdfoundation.org/About - a member of their staff mentions they have a plan to acquire and restore an Indian Pattern Wheeled Armoured Carrier. Some pictures of the well-known Mk.IVs in Kabul, Afghanistan, are shown. It would be great to see those examples saved. Let’s see what they reveal in due time!
We used to have a long running thread on the vehicles in the Kabul scrapyard here on MLU Forum. Sadly, for unknown reasons, it has gone missing. There were three Mk.IV wheeled carriers present till at least fourteen years ago. I have split off this thread to gather any (new) info about these vehicles.
