Alistair, before stripping down my Lynx for restoration, I took photos of everything I saw.
The hull number was painted on the leading edge of the petrol tank armour. It was protected by the mud flap. Lynx Start to Finish 017.jpg W/T was on both doors as you can see here. scan0347.jpg Sling here was painted close to the lifting rings. scan0348.jpg The weight etc was on the side of the left petrol tank armour. scan0344.jpg The 5 ton bridge sign was on the front left.
