Hi Rob
You can't use solid wires with Pertronix.......... I loved doing away with the points, condensers and associated headaches. So far the Pertronix system has been problem free. Had to use a NOS 216 dizzy on the 261 to gain critical additional clearance on the engine cover....... Pertronix fitted easily inside although a totally different module was required. Bob C

Agreed that the electronic ignition conversion is a different kettle of fish.But in my books, with the few miles we operate this equipment, the points usually work out just fine. I have not reached the stage of upgrading the museum's vehicles over to the solid state stuff yet. |
