A few other items I need to find are the 2 operating arm crank handles to raise the stretcher racks up, the front panel of the interior heater housing and the folding rear steps.
I'm also looking for the blackout side curtains for the interior windows. The part numbers for those are listed in the parts list in my photo's.
Thank you for any help with parts for my project.
Regards,Derk

Hey Derk.

Curious as to what the original interior colour was for these ambulance bodies.

Hanno, Egbert and I went to view an Ambulance earlier this year, which was silver inside the body. Doors were body colour on the inside. The truck in question was unrestored, low mileage, ex french Navy.

I think I see the same silver colour in Derk's pictures. Also, in black and white pictures it's pretty difficult to see the difference between white and silver. In the pic Robert posted, to me, the interior looks to be silver, while the stretcher frames could maybe be white, or silver reflecting the sun/sky(?)

Sorry Robert; I didn't know you had one in the yard, I thought you were just basing it on the black and white picture.

In that case it seems there were at least two different interior colours used; silver and white.

I also noted there are differences in the position of the seat and water tank in these bodies, but haven't checked Clive's book yet to see if it's in there. Sometimes the water tank is left and the seat on the right, sometimes it's mirrored. At first I though the factory pictures might have been mirrored, but judging from the axle this doesn't seem to be the case

I just went outside to the Ambulance box and at first glance it has a Silver paint job inside but looking closer underneath the silver paint you can see there is white paint. From there it is the thin Red pressboard that the interior is sheeted with. So I would say the interior was originally white from the factory. At some point my box was painted silver, both inside and outside so somebody wanted to give it a new paint job to clean it up!
The inside of the doors are painted the same green colour as the outside of the vehicle. The doors when swung all the way open could be secured by a lower latch on the bottom of the ambulance body and held to the side of the body.
