Thanks Jordan , I have this set up in my CGT , and I have still a complete set from an APT C60L , so I could use that , but what was on my truck is a different length top piece , where the cast clamp was directly bolted on to , but then the steering collumn sits right at the top of the hole in the floor plate .
It is also possible that there are different set ups because early cabs had rubber between the cab mounting , and the later ones where straight metal to metal.

Maurice, maybe your truck was modified in civilian life to make more room for the driver?

The option to remove the filler piece is mentioned in Fitting tall guys in Cab 11/12's

Hanno it was never in civilian life , The top plate for fastening it to the cab frame is stamped , and the holes are punched out , the plate is longer then the spring mounted version , and was painted in olive drab .
