I have seen pucks used in installations before. Forget the where, but I chuckled when I recognized the round hard rubber shape - emphasis on the hardness.

No no no, I'm talking legitimate Ford motor mounts and I use the hockey puck reference only to paint a picture. That said, if I'd known a $2 hockey puck would compress less than a $40 Ford engine mount (shaped, admittedly like a hockey puck) I'd be all over it. Anyway with a little adjustment, the parking brake is now fully operational.
