In researching the numbers on the BUDD bar it turns out to apply to all types of vehicles during the war years and post war. The number 44201 is the BUDD number and the 41H 154110 number is the US Army number.
Another rescued item is a Chrysler Airtemp 1944 stove. I have passed this stove up many times until the last trip when I noticed there was a tag on it from Regina service battalion to Winnipeg’s Kenaston barracks so being in Canadian service I then convinced myself I had to have it. Plus the roof on the building they were in is leaking on them and they were full of water so aren’t going to last much longer!
