Took me a while to find the "AMBULANCE CHASSIS" it is not a stand-out obvious section of the advert. Overall, that advert is clearly aimed at pushing the new post-war range. And what is a Electricar ? Did they remove the ambulance bodywork and sell them as open cab/chassis for conversion to a flat tray ? The Austin A40 seen in the advert was released in 1947, I am surprised they still had any ambulance chassis available at that point in time. Going through AWM126 they purchased a few K2/Y but only in very small numbers. I wonder if the Austin agencies in states other than NSW purchased any K2Y ? Some interesting early Austin stuff http://www.austinmemories.com/styled/index.html http://www.austinmemories.com/styled...-54/index.html http://www.austinmemories.com/styled-21/index.html
