On Saturday afternoon at around 3:50 p.m. a passenger car drove on the so-called Italian road from Domat / Ems GR in the direction of Chur. There was a head-on collision with the motorcycle between the Felsberg roundabout and Chur.

The 59-year-old motorcyclist collided with the car in the long bend near Parghera-Rüfe and died at the scene of the accident. The car overturned on its side as a result of the force of the collision. The 63-year-old driver was injured and transferred to the Chur Cantonal Hospital by an ambulance. The car is a green US Army Jeep from the Second World War of the Willys MB type.

An ambulance team from the Chur Cantonal Hospital, the Chur Road Rescue, the civil engineering department, a towing service, the Chur City Police and the Grisons Cantonal Police were on duty to record accidents. The Italienische Strasse had to be closed for several hours. The public prosecutor's office in Graubünden has started the investigation.
