Default M1919 Brownings on For Lynx

It seems that it started with a field modification by the Manitoba Dragoons and was subject to a study for usefulness by the military later on.
I do not have the AFV Report No. 7, so don’t know what the official outcome was.

Interesting set of photos.
What is the pipe brace fitted into the sand channel bracket for? With that there they would not be able to use the sand channel brackets as originally intended.
I have highlighted the piece in question as there is no sign of something like that on my Lynx.

Thanks Rick

Default We remember

Guys,

A friend of mine, Alex with Hagerty Insurance put this video together. I think it explains why we pursue our "hobby". Here is the link.

Default Aquino ready

Guys,

The Lynx started up after it's winter hiatus with the minimum of grumbling. Took her for a spin and she performed better than I did. Looking forward to the upcoming Aquino weekend show at the Oshawa Tank museum. First show of the year and looking forward to reconnecting with old friends.

Default Lynx of a different colour

Guys,

At the recent airshow at CFB Borden I had the opportunity to go for a spin in a M113 C&R "Lynx" thanks to Frank Von Rosenstiel. This version of the Lynx served with the Canadian Forces from the late 60s to the early 90s.

The wife was less than enthusiastic when she heard that I was considering trading Lynxes if they threw in an extra set of tracks.

Frank, thanks again, it was a blast. Peter
