It is with deepest sympathy that I pass on the bad news of John's death this morning.
John was diagnosed with cancer around Chritmas time, and after a long, agonizing battle, he has lost.
John was a dear friend to me, both of us helping each other out and attending all kinds of shows and events together. He was a huge supporter of our hobby, hosting the West End Meet every summer for his fellow collectors and was a very enthusiastic and supportive individual.
He will be sadly missed...

Ah Chris, my condolences to you and to John's family. He and my sister were diagnosed and passed away around the same times. How sad.

Celebrate her/his life.
Take care of yourself.
Give yourself time to grieve.

A friend of mine said those words to me a couple of days ago.
