Those slots could be anything. The CMPs in Canada and Blitzes in Australia got no respect. They were abundant and disposable old work trucks.

Mariano if we are talking about the same slots they are for a snow plow. It was a common procedure after the war.

Mariano I just went out and took a couple of photos of the slots for you. The brackets you see are attached to the plow and pivot upward as the plow is raised. Some slots were made very professionally and some were made like these.
