That appears to be a Delco Remy Generator as found in Chevy inline 6’s used by CMP trucks. Without confirming in the parts manual I believe there was three main different versions. The differences being the first version used bushings at both ends, second used a bearing and a bushing at the opposite end and the last used bearings at both ends. The end plates were machined to take an air filter. It was unique to Canadian vehicles in the delco remy world of generators.
Is the part number readable on the tag?

I agree with the others. Rod's pic: Looks like a standard Chev CMP 6V gene.

Thanks for the info
I have the generator now and have cleaned inside as well as straightened the filter It works, except the enamelling on some of the wiring is gone I found my saved photos of the output pulley to drive the second generator I cannot find the post I downloaded them from I wonder if anyone has one they would sell I think any rear transfer-case takeoff would work cheers rod |
