Default Retainers

You need to find the modern equivalent seal part numbers. Chicago Rawhide might have a seal to suit the C8A axles.. Jordan B wrote: SKF 19360 is the C15A transfer case seal , you need 3.

The older style axle oil seals were either a steel retainer with a leather or felt lip. Neoprene seals have been in use for 60+ years and are far better than leather or felt.

I have seen felt seals used in low stress applications i.e. front axle hemisphere seals. From memory the C8 4x2 has felt rear hub seals I bought two nos Flavel (Aust.) brand from AA seals in Mitcham years ago.

The C8A has different axles than other CMPs. Have you looked at the MLU topic for 'modern replacement parts' ?
