Hi David,
According to https://cj3a.info/sibling/cjv35u/radio.html they carried "12 volt mid-range command radio sets" and were used by the US Navy and the USMC "for swift water borne invasions". The auxiliary generator resided in its own housing and was driven by a fan belt powered by a full-time PTO mounted on the rear of the jeep transfer case. See https://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.ph...564fac5ddd11c0 (login required) for more period photos and https://www.toadmanstankpictures.com/willys_mz_1.htm for photos of a restored example. Must say those wireless-equipped vehicles have a certain appeal since you pointed out the C15TA wireless installation. For now it will remain in the observe & study phase, but who knows what happens in the future ![]() USMSC-MZ-1.jpg
