Looks like the same jeep ambulance design as the one in this famous photo taken in Germany. Photo credit to the Silverhawk website.
I was considering this style of jeep ambulance when I was restoring my WWII jeep. The metalwork I could have made up but there’s no way I could have sewn up all that canvas so decided on the simple jeep ambulance design.

Here is a few more photos them.

I tried searching in the CMHQ files and was unable to find anything on this particular version. It had to have been an official item due to how many are pictured.

Default In theatre conversion?

Derk, Jordan, thanks for your input.

All of the photos on this thread were made near the very end or after WW2. It may have been some sort of prototype/ in theatre conversion which wasn't very well documented by the CMHQ?

PS: This one was new to me, I found it captioned "Ernest Wood sitting on his Jeep in Holland, March, 1945".

What type of 2-wheel trailer is that, backed into the left rear corner of the photo? It looks rather narrow.

It's not an Allied military trailer, I suspect it is a civilian one.

Clive does mention them in his book, but the info on the canopy is limited.

Default Canadian Ambulance Jeep

Is there any evidence showing this model of Ambulance Jeep being used by any other formation besides 3rd Canadian Infantry Division and is there any record of these Jeeps being handed over to the Dutch after the war?
